E-Cigarette Introduction

 

An electronic cigarette, also known as an e-cigarette or personal vaporizer, is an alternative to tradditonal tobacco. It looks, tastes, feels, and acts like a tradditonal cigarette. But it is free of many chemicals found in traditional cigarettes.

 

The way it works is simple. Each electronic cigarette has a battery, an atomizer, and a cartridge filled with a liquid nicotine solution. When you inhale, it activates the atomizer which releases vapors. It replicates the look and feel of tradditional cigarette.

 

 

 

E-Cigarette Terminology


Atomizer

There is a metal mesh coil ("bridge") inside the atomizer,  which absorbs liquid from the cartridge material. Then it heats (vaporizes)  the e-liquid into a vapor.

Cartomizer

 It combines an atomizer and pre-filled cartridge into one disposable component referred to as a "cartomizer".

Battery

 Most electronic cigarettes employ a lithium-ion rechargeable battery to power the heating element. Battery life varies depending on the battery type and size.

Most e-cig batteries originally had an automatic switch (f.e it will turn on by sucking on the mouthpiece or by sound or movement). Now there are also manual battery, which will turn on by pressing a button on the side of the battery).

Prefilled Cartridges

 It is a small plastic cup-like piece affixed to the end of the tube. Inside it is a smaller plastic cup which holds an absorbent material that is prefilled with e-juice or e-liquid.

Empty Cartridges(Blank Cartridges)

 Same as pre filled but only absorbent poly-fill  material and no e-juice inside.

E-juice

 Or nicotine solution, it commonly contains some amount of flavoring, with several different flavors available. It consists of nicotine dissolved in propylene glycol (PG) and/or glycerin (glycerol). Both PG and VG are common food additives

Dripping

 Another alternative to using cartridges is the direct dripping method. By removing the absorbent material, one is able to simply remove the plastic mouthpiece and drip several drops of e-liquid directly onto the atomizer bridge.

It is an alternative to the traditional plastic mouthpiece, it is used for dripping. You can connect it to your atomizer and

PCC

Portable Charging Case. when you are away from a power outlet, you can use it to charge your battery. Currently, PCC is not available for all models. We have PCC for  Joye510  model.

USB Passthrough

 It plugs directly into a USB port, it is a good alternate to a battery when you are near a computer. Original Joye 510 passthrough  contains a 360mAh li-ion battery, so you can also use it when you are away from a computer. We have since upgraded ours to a 5 volt unit that has no battery and requires a 5V 2A power source.

  You may have many different models, you may want to make them work with each other, it is a good choice for you. If you want to adapt Joye510 Battery to m401 atomizer, you can purchase 510-401 adapter to make them work.

HOW TO FILL A CARTOMIZER:

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON FILLING ONE OF OUR CARTOMIZERS FOR THE FIRST TIME.

FIRST NOTE!

STANDARD or "SR" CARTOMIZERS ARE MEANT TO BE USED ON EITHER STANDARD 510 BATTERIES OR HIGHER VOLTAGE MODS.

LOW RESISTANCE OR "LR" CARTOMIZERS ARE MEANT TO BE USED ON BATTERIES WITH A MAH RATING OF 400MAH OR MORE* AND ONLY ON 3.7 VOLT DEVICES TO "SIMULATE" HIGHER VOLTAGE VAPING!

*WHY ONLY ON BATTS OF 400MAH OR MORE? SMALLER BATTERIES LIKE THE STANDARD 510 CANNOT HANDLE THE AMPERAGE DRAIN AS WELL. IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR BATTERY AND CUT DOWN ON ACTUAL VAPE TIME.

NOW ON TO THE INSTRUCTIONS!

STEP 1: REMOVE FROM CELLOPHANE WRAPPER

STEP 2: REMOVE RUBBER SLEEVE OPPOSITE SIDE OF BATTERY END

STEP 3: REMOVE WHITE RUBBER PART OF MOUTH PIECE

STEP 4: FILL WITH LIQUID (THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STEP, YOU CAN EITHER WAIT FOR THE LIQUID TO SOAK IN OR DO LIKE I DO AS I AM IMPATIENT. PUT CARTO BETWEEN THUMB AND FOREFINGER, AND "THERMOMETER" SHAKE TO FORCE ALL JUICE TO BATTERY END)

STEP 5: REPEAT STEP 4 UNTIL CARTOMIZER WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY MORE LIQUID AND THE INSIDE LOOKS THE CONSISTANCY OF A "SLUSHIE OR SLURPEE"

STEP 6: REPLACE WHITE MOUTH PIECE OR INSERT A DRIP TIP IF THAT IS YOUR PREFERENCE.

STEP 7: REMOVE LOWER RUBBER PIECE AND BLOW QUICKLY THROUGH CENTER HOLE INTO A TISSUE TO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT GET LIQUID INTO YOUR MOUTH.

STEP 8: ATTATCH TO YOUR BATTERY AND VAPE AWAY.

 

NOTES ON CARTOS:

BE SURE TO FREQUENTLY CHECK YOUR CARTO AND MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT GET TOO DRY, IF THE CARTO IS RUN DRY YOU WILL GET A BURNT TASTE AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET THAT TASTE TO GO AWAY.

EGO-T TIPS/TRICKS SECTION

 

To maintaining the Joye eGo-T functioning well, you should use as manual directed and clean regularly. We have some tips here to share with you.

 

How to prevent burnt taste when using Joye eGo-T?

 

Even though Joye eGo-T atomizer is a revolutionary discovery, it is still an atomizer. You still need maintain it by cleaning regularly, it even needs more frequently cleaning owing to its larger consumption of e-liquid. It is better if you blow out the old e-liquid out every night before bed and let them dry overnight.

 

1. Use a brand new Joye eGo-T atomizer by starting from blowing the primer fluid out of the atomizer. Simply, blow hard from the battery end into a napkin, keep doing several times until no more fluid coming out.

 

Then prime the Joye eGo-T atomizer, put a couple of drops e-liquid into the piercing unit, then connect it to Joye eGo-T cartridges.

 

2. If your Joye eGo-T atomizer is not a new one, completely cleaning is more necessary. We gather several popular cleaning methods below:

 

A. Hot Water: Boil Joye eGo-T atomizers in hot water for more than 10 minutes and then dry at least overnight.

 

B. Hot water with baking soda or coca cola: The same method as above, but add some soda or coca cola to the hot water. Rinse well. Dry well.

 

C. Alcohol: Drip small amount of regular alcohol into the atomizer, then rinse out with hot water, shake out well, then blow out.

 

E. Dry Burn: Rinse under VERY hot water. Dry 48 hours, attach the atomizer to a manual battery, hold the battery button for 5-8 seconds, then release, continue "press & release" until no more vapor comes out.

 

Make sure it is completely dry and prime them with e-liquid before using. After cleaning, it may take a little while for Joye eGo-T atomizer to break in.

 

MAINTENENCE

 

To maintainin the Joye eGo-T functioning well, you should use as manual directed and clean regularly. We have some tips here to share with you.

 

How to prevent getting e-liquid into mouth when using Joye eGo-T？

 

1. Clean the overflow prevention cap, middle cap and the vapor pathway frequently to prevent blockage. It is possible to pry the overflow prevention cap, middle cap with paper clip, clean them out with Q tip and paper towel.

 

Clean excess liquids on your tips, wipe area immediately or wash with water.

 

 

 

Proper Tank Insertion

 

" The cartridge must be installed in the atomizer, that the pathway for the vapor coincided with cuts in place of its installation. In Russia we called this place the "beak". I removed the "beak" from my atomizer, install the cartridge and make some fotos for you, attached to this e-mail. The foto shows, that in the correct installation the vapor comes direct to the cartridge's pathway through the cuts on the base of the "beak"".

After using this tip for some time we noticed that the condensate from e-liquid stops to rised up through the pathway in cartridge and stop going to the mouth,

 

LEAKAGE

 

To maintaining the Joye eGo-T functioning well, you should use as manual directed and clean regularly. We have some tips here to share with you.

 

How to prevent Joye eGo-T atomizer or Joye eGo-T tank cartridges from leaking?

 

1. Please do not over-fill Joye eGo-T tank cartridges, leave Joye eGo-T tank cartridges 1/10 empty space.

 

2. Please put the Joye eGo-T atomizer and Joye eGo-T tank cartridges vertically when you insert the Joye eGo-T tank cartridges, thus the spike are able to puncture cartridges in right position.

 

3. This method is coming from forum. It has been noted that the "fluff" of the wick and its position in the piercing tube can also have an effect on delivery or some other factor. In such condition, you should adjust the wick. You can use a needle object to adjust and re-position and fluff in the wick.

 

4. Do not use so watery e-liquid.

 

Tips  from customers:

 

One of experienced e-cigarette users reported to us how he prevents his eGo-T atomizers from leaking:

 

If you don't fully snap the cap on after filling or if you don't make the tank fully seat in the atomizer, some leaks are going to occur.

 

Solution:

 

a.'Pre-puncture' the empty tank and remove the 'chad'.

 

b. wipe the tank down before inserting it.

 

C. Insert the tank slowly.

 

(We suggest you inserting the tank cartridges to eGo-T atomizer vertically, the tank cartridges up, eGo-T atomizer down).

 

The other problem has been that sometimes that pressure system created by inserting the tank can blow the wicking out of the spike. You need adjust the wick.

 

GENERAL E-Cigarette Maintenance
E-cigarette is not designed to last forever, but we are able to extend the life of it with occasional maintenance.
Battery
 
 Keep the batteries fully charged. The manufacture recommends to charge the batteries full 8 hours before initial use no matter the charger indicator changes or not. On subsequent charges, 3-4 hours are enough. For Joye eGo, as it carries a fast USB charger, 4 hours is enough for initial charges and 2-3 hours for subsequent charges.

Clean the connection parts of the battery and atomizer with a clean paper tissue occasionally.
 
Atomizer

When you get your atomizer, you should take the following steps to prepare for a best experience.
 
a. Blow out your atomizer, your atomizer comes along with "primer liquid" to keep it moist. Simply blow hard from the threaded end until no more liquid comes out. 

b. Then, fill your cartridge, use the dropper slowly fill the empty cartridge, DO NOT OVERFILL IT. 

c. Drip two drops directly onto the metal coil of the atomizer.
 
d. Connect with a fully charged battery and a cartridge.

keep the atomizer clean and don't let it dry out. Replace the cartridge when the performance diminishes. Here are steps to completely clean the inside of the atomizers, it is recommended to be done every day or every two days:

a. Blow out the atomizer from the screw end with slightly high pressure air.

b. Drip small amount of regular alcohol into the atomizer, then rinse out with distilled water, shake out well, then blow out with compressed air.

c. Connect the atomizer with a working battery, drip several drops of e-juice into the atomizer, then you may get good vapor.

After all, it is not a real cigarette. Please change your smoking habit a little bit. Do not draw too hard and frequently. Please slowly inhale to give the atomizer time to heat the liquid.

Cartridges
 We suggest only refilling a cartridge 3-4 times total. After that point, the polyester begins to break down. That can cause damage to the atomizer, and a very bad taste.
